Wandering

A desire for wandering,
a feeling to embrace.
To take a different path
look adventure in its face.

Take one step off path,
Who knows what’s to see?

A city or town,
One that you know,
But with each winding street,
What secrets does it hold?

It’s one you have walked,
but have you explored?
The side-streets and
You just might find its hoard.

Like Robert Frost,
Take the road not taken.
Try a different route
See what might awaken.

With every new day,
an opportunity beckons,
Countless paths to explore.
Take your chance, I implore
you aberrate in your journeys.

When a fork comes,
Follow intrigue,
Let yourself go astray.
Don’t worry of the delay,
Just enjoy your encounters.
